We should constantly be waking up. We can wake up over and over again to a larger reality. This is what life is about. Instead of looking for answers we need to learn how to ask better questions.
Some questions to wake you up could be:
What else could I just as well be doing right now?
What do I need to accept and learn in order to move on?
Who am I blaming for how my life looks right now?
Where am I stuck?
What do I want?
How do I get there?
When we ask questions, we receive answers. The secret to changing our reality is in asking powerful questions and then acting on the answers we receive. This is practicing the feminine and masculine principles of asking/receiving and acting/doing. If we do not have a balance between these two aspects we will tend to stay stuck.
If we are perpetually in the asking/reflecting mode and do nothing—we will go nowhere. If we are constantly moving and doing and maintaining the status quo we can stay so busy we do not take the time to listen for the guidance of Spirit in our lives and thus miss out on the true enjoyment of life. We have to create a balance between the openness and receptivity of the feminine principle and the doing aspect of the masculine principle.
Blaming is also a powerful block that keeps us stuck. We give our power away. As long as it is someone else’s fault that we are where we are, we will stay there. That is how we create a self-made jail. Forgiveness and accepting responsibility are the keys to freedom. As my mentor loves to say, “You must have zero tension with the past in order to move forward”.
Spending time in meditation regarding these questions will help us to realize the answers. We must then act on our convictions. This, of course, takes some effort and usually some courage. Not everyone will agree with our decisions. In fact, it can sometimes upset a lot of people who have a lot invested in our staying the same.
So, how would you like to re-design your life? Taking the time to tap into your core desires and asking Spirit for guidance and your soul for direction will assist you in moving forward into a larger reality. This does not mean that you will have to exit your life entirely as you currently know it, it simply means that you will open your heart and mind to greater possibilities, allowing yourself to think in new ways about your life and your choices.
As long as we see only a limited number of options for our life, we will have only a limited number of choices. “What could just as well be?” is a question that can help unveil a doorway into greater expansiveness. Go ahead, take a big breath and ask yourself what you would like to create in your life. Life is meant to become bigger and more exciting as we travel along. Dream big, the best is yet to be.
